You do not need to be a member of the church for a Baptism, Wedding or Funeral to be held at St Michael’s.

We welcome all those who come for Baptism (Christening) or Marriage in the church. We also extend sympathy to all those who have lost loved ones and offer our assistance in your grief, in arrangements for the funeral, and afterwards.

We love baptisms! The baptism service symbolises the cleansing work of Jesus Christ in their lives.

There is no fee for a baptism conducted during a service. It is a privilege and a pleasure for us to be able to offer this sacrament. If you wish, however, to make a donation, you may put it in the offering plate at the entrance to the church or give it to the priest who takes your baptism service or donate here.

For over 170 years couples have exchanged their wedding vows in our Parish’s churches in the presence of family, friends and God as they seek God’s blessing upon their lives together. 

It is our delight to be able to solemnise holy matrimony through a Christian service in accordance with the liturgy and practice of the Anglican Church of Australia.

A Christian funeral marks the ending of a human life, and places this in the context of God's loving presence with us as we grieve. A funeral is time of both celebration of the life of a loved one, and a time of mourning for the loss of someone we dearly love. New Farm Parish offers an Anglican funeral service in our church, if you wish to pursue this with our priest, Fr Olaf.
